"It's busty today"

We got to Juju's school this morning and whoa baby. I mean it was windy when we left the house but damn!

(as we're getting out of the car, about to cross the street to go into his school)
JUJU: Its busty today.
ME: It is. Wait, huh?
(we get to the door and are walking inside)
JUJU: I said It's really busty today.
ME: Busty?! Like BUH-STEE?
JUJU: Ya. It was in dat story, I think so. (he says "I think so" after he explains something)
(we get in the breakfast line, waiting for them to open the door)
ME: What story is this?
JUJU: You know. With the bear. Um. And the bear...
ME: Oh Pooh?! You mean blustery.
JUJU: Ya das what I said, busty.
(we get our food and go and sit down)
ME: No Juju its blustery. BLUH-STIR-EE
JUJU: Oh ok. blustery.
ME: Do you know what that word means, blustery?
JUJU: Um I think so. Like the wind is crazy. Like dis...
(and he gets off his chair and starts waving his arms around all crazy like some sort of interpretive dance but on speed LMAO)
JUJU: You know. Like your hair.

So I pull my ipod out of my pocket...cuz u know, I got a mirror screen protector on it. And damn it! He was right! And all I could think of as I was trying to smash smooth my hair back down is...
this kid really did just let me walk around and NOT say a damn word about my hair standing up all over the damn place!

GRRRRR!!! Somehow my FB page got deleted while I was trying to create my welcome tab :( Totally not cool.
Since I know y'all really do love me, will all of you go back and *LIKE* the new page I had to create? PLEASE! With cool whip and a cherry on top! I promise to leave anything "designing" to the professionals.

So I came across a new community last week and wanted to share the deets with y'all. Its called BlogLove.

The initial idea behind blog love was I often click on people's profiles and they don't have their blog listed in their profile so I can't then find their blog to follow them back.

Also everyone is always looking for new blogs to follow.

So by everyone in the community getting involved and sharing their blog url's and a brief description of their blog in one place and then sharing the link to this blog by having a button on their sidebar means we can all share the blogging love!

Easy Peasy right? Another great way to connect with other bloggers. So totally check them out. Your future followers (me included) are waiting for you :)

I want a snow day filled with drama and margaritas

1. If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which would you choose?

 It would totally have to be the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. Mikshake (my soon-to-be 13 yr old) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes right before his 3rd birthday. He is insulin dependent. He had to take 4 shots a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and right before bedtime. He is now on an insulin pump. (Thank goodness!) He has been hospitalized 3 times and in PICU twice all for dehydration due to the flu and stomach flu. What I wouldn't give to take his diabetes away.

2. Snow days: Do you welcome them happily or are they a pain in your butt?

Every state that I have ever lived in (Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, and Texas) NEVER has snow days. Only delayed days. And in essence it's still not a snow day. So I would welcome a snow day. Especially if it means I don't have to sit in traffic and go to and from work. But you can keep the snow :)

3. What talent did you wish you had and why?

I totally wish that I could whistle. Serious.

4. Are you a news, politics or celebrity gossip junkie?

I wouldn't say I was a celebrity gossip junkie. I mean hey its cool to hear but I don't go out of my way to find out all the latest juice. I guess I have an addiction to the Real Housewives series. They're fun. I mean mindless, meaningless, rich, celebrity wanna be drama is always good entertainment. News and politics are NOT entertaining.

5. What is your favorite "cocktail"? (Are you a beer person, a kiddie cocktail junkie, or perhaps your more the "Cosmo" kind?! Anything flies...doesn't hafta be alcoholic!)

Margaritas and pina coladas. I dream of life on a white sand beach wearing nothing but a bikini sucking face with Big Daddy drinking my "island" drinks. Thats what Big Daddy calls my fave drinks = island drinks :)

Ok so one of my FAVE bloggers, the GORGEOUS Envii from Perfectly Imperfect posted this vid last week and I LOVE it. This girls voice is ah-freakin-may-zing! It is kind of loud so you may want to turn down the volume a bit. And she kinda rambles in the beginning too...just FYI.




I am totally in love with Jessie J. So while I was on YouTube I of course had to search for other stuff she has put out when I came across a cover of the above song "Mamma Knows Best." What the hezzy?! This girl can wail too.
