Mr. Big Baby

It all started yesterday (friday) afternoon. I met big daddy after work at his job. The training class he was in had a potluck and there was a bunch of food left over from it that he wanted me to bring home. Well anyways, he rides his bike...not motorcycle but a bike, bike...to work everyday. Well he figures, well hey, if I'm there he might as well just throw the bike in the back of the truck and just catch a ride. Well I had tank and juju with me (I had just picked them up from daycare right before meeting him). With our big hummer of a double stroller, his bike wasn't fittin so good in the back. So he said what the hell, he'll ride it home. So anyways.... I get home, and he arrives shortly after. Yes we live that close to his job. He's huffin and puffin like he usually does as soon as he gets home. Then all of sudden he starts coughing. Sun was out and everything but the wind was blowing. So I figured he was just coughing from the cold air.

So like an hour passes and he's still coughing like he's tryna get his lung out! Thats when he tells me that one person in his class has the flu and another person was getting over bronchitis. What the fuck! Sorry for cussin but hell...we have 4 children. 2 of which were just sick. And here he is just a coughing away like its no big deal.

ME: Well take some nyquil and go to bed early. You'll feel better.

BD: I need medicine. Like cough medicine. Don't got a fever, just a cough.

ME: Fine I'll go to walgreens.

So I drive to walgreens which is so CROWDED! He was being kinda cryptic as to how he was feeling so I call him to get more body feeling details.

ME: Ok there's stuff for flu, cough, nasal congestion, chest congestion...how are you really feeling?

BD: Just coughing! Damnit Nicole just get me something for my cough!

ME: Well I don't wanna medicate you for something you don't have.

BD: No fever, my body doesn't hurt. Just cough, and my throat is hurting from coughing so much. I have bronchitis. See what I need to take for bronchitis.

ME: Bronchitis huh? 

BD: Yes Nicole, I have bronchitis.

First of all, doctor, how did you come up with your diagnosis?! Second, come on its just a cough you big baby! Stop making it into something else! You JUST started coughing.

So I get him some mucinex because he sounded like he was tryna cough up phlem and mucus and junk. Standing in line to check out, my phone rings. One guess as to who it was.

ME: Yes?

BD: Get me something for the flu. Its the flu.

ME: Fine.

So I step out of line to get him some alcaseltzer (however you spell it) tabs, and some dayquil and nyquil flu.

I get home to find him on the couch lookin pitiful, coughing and hacking. I mean come on dude! If you're sick go in the room so you don't infect the rest of us!

ME: Why don't you go lay down in the room.

BD: Trying to get up but my body hurts. 

ME: Well you can't be out here getting everybody sick.

BD: Just let me be! You know what fine I'll go lay in the room!

ME: I'll bring your medicines to you.

BD: Whadya get? Stuff for bronchitis right?

ME: Yes.

So he finally goes to the room when I hear...

BD: NIICCOOOOOLE!

ME: Ya?

BD: Why am I still coughing? I took the damn mucinex and alcaselzer thing and nyquil.

ME: Gotta wait till it kicks in I guess.

BD: Whatever I don't think you got me the right stuff.

I walk out and about 15 minutes later, his ass is snoring in the bed...sweat dripping down his face. He had the tv on so I go to turn it off and he shoots up in bed and says, Hey I'm watching that before laying right back down into medicine induced coma.

So this morning he's awake at like 6 something. I get up and start getting ready for work...thats when the demanding baby started....

BD: My body aches. I can't stop coughing. Where's my cell phone? Can you get my pillow? What time do the boys wake up? Get me some water. Where's my medicines? Hand me the remote. I can't eat anything. I just want water. I never get sick, and when I do I get both bronchitis and the flu. When do you get off? Wait I have stuff to do today, I'll bring you to work. No I'm too sick and my body hurts too much.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

1. Have your children corrected you somehow this week?
Oh ya...Juju has a potty that plays music when he poops and pees. Well I heard the music, and started my praise..."YAY JUJU!!! Juju went pee in the potty!" To which he replied...."No mama, went potty in the potty. No say pee, say potty."

2. Are you waiting for a particular something to happen?
Sure...can't wait for the day juju can wipe his own @$$

3. Do you chat online?
Not anymore...I tweet and text mostly

4. What is the oldest thing you own?
A pair of brown wedge sandals i've had since 1999. Haha...my oldest son..been around longer than anything!

5. What's for dinner tonight?
Already had dinner...leftovers...some chip thing and sandwiches and fried chicken.

6. Are you artistic?
I think i'm creative.

7. Are you getting an income tax refund? Plans for it?
Yes we are. I also have to pay taxes too which sucks but oh well. Big daddy and I are looking into getting another vehicle. Yes uncle Sam is good to us this year!

8. Do you use 'zero payments/zero interest for XX months' to buy things?

Oh no...cash only, or straight from the debit/credit card for us!

Forever Aiden

It is with a heavy heart, and tears streaming down my face, that I make this post. I do not know Cynthiaa personally, but have been following her blog for about a week and a half now. Cynthiaa was due to give birth to her first child, Aiden, in two weeks. But yesterday, during her regular doctor's appointment, she learned that her son had passed away due to umbilical cord strangulation. She went on to have a c-section shortly after, and was able to spend some precious moments with Aiden, to hold him and say goodbye.

Please keep Cynthiaa and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

So back to me and my letter "S"...wow this is harder than I thought...

1. SEX

Yes I said it, and no, I don't think y'all want me to get into why I like sex. It should be pretty obvious...duh...4 kids! Big daddy didn't get that name just because...LMAO...ok, ok TMI I know...I just couldn't help myself that time. But on a serious note, in all honesty, I love it because of the person I'm having it with. Big daddy makes me feel SEXY...even when I'm yelling at him or complaining. Its love and pure bliss!

2. SHOPPING

I love shopping for my boys! There's not a really big selection when it comes to boys clothes...jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes...BLAH! But I just absolutely love shopping for the latest boy trends, like rocker tees and even torn jeans! And now that juju is potty trained, believe it or not, I'm on the prowl for some cool toddler underwear! Oh and don't get me started on shoes (which by the way is my #3 love)...I'm always shopping for shoes for my boys...football cleats, basketball shoes, skateboarding shoes, shoes for school, and shoes just to go out with...Jordan's, Converse, Nike's...the list just goes on and on, repeating itself!

3. SHOES

There is only one word...OBSESSED! I think I have over 40 pairs of shoes that I've accumulated just in the last year alone! My all time favorite is stillettos!!!!!! The higher the heel the better!

4. SUN, SAND, SEA, SURF

Ok so thats 4 things...well its #4 on my list...anyways...What can I say? I am from Hawaii. I learned to swim almost as soon as I learned to walk. I am SO a beach person! Whenever I do make it back home to visit, I spend just about everyday there on the beach! I love the sun! And walking on the beach...come on...natural pedicure! I can just fall asleep on my towel with not a care in the world. And surfing? I think I learned how to surf when I was 5.

5. SEAFOOD

Lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, fish, oysters oh my! I think this probably has a lot to do with being from Hawaii. I remember going deep sea fishing with an uncle and catching this HUGE marlin! As soon as we made it back to the shore, my family set up a bonfire and cooked it right away. There have even been times we would go to the beach and swim out to the reef, and cut these little things called opihis right off the coral and the rock and just eat it right there. (They're like little oysters or clams)

6. SLIPPERS & SANDALS

In Hawaii we call em slippers, here in the states, they're flip flops. I hate my toes being covered up. I hate socks, and closed toe shoes. Even in the winter, I have my toes out!

7. SANGRIA

Fruit and alcohol what more is there to say about that?! The first time I ever had it was when I was in college, go figure huh? My dorm-mate, me, and a bunch of other people went to this AMAZING mexican restaurant where they were known for they're margaritas and sangrias. Had a margarita before so tried out the sangria. We, well I know I did, drank SOOOOOO much! We danced all night and the next morning I didn't even wake up with a hangover.

8. SPAM

Yes I admit it, I love spam. Something about that salty canned meat...mm mm good! You know its practically a staple in Hawaii. My favorite way to eat spam is in a spam musubi: rice shaped into a rectangle with a slice of fried spam on top, wrapped in some nori...YUM! 

9. SNICHTZEL

I think thats how you spell it...anyways..big daddy is half german (moms is german, dad is black). Well right after we got married, we drove to Texas where his moms lives. We got there around lunch, and thats what she made. I WAS HOOKED! All it is, is either a pork or turkey cutlet battered and fried. So good!

10. SEX

Ya I know I already said this. But hey its so damn good it deserves 2 spots! 'Nuff said!
