JUJU: Awwww mommy daddy the sun it went down.
ME: Its because its night time.
JUJU: Why is it night time?
BIG DADDY: Because the sun has to go to sleep.
JUJU: The sun sleeps? Why?
BIG DADDY: Because he's tired like you.
JUJU: But daddy I not tired. I no wanna sleep right now. Just the sun.
ME: The sun will come back tomorrow morning.
JUJU: But then the moon. Where's the moon? The moon is right there. (as he points on the car window) Where the moon go when the sun wakes up? Do it go in the closet like Stanky when him wake up?

  3. Lol. Aww, poor Stanky in the closet.

Kid conversations are sometimes the best.

Except my son's most recent inquiry.

    Son: Mama.
    Me: Hmm.
Son: Gab says girls don't have wee-wee.
    Me: Uh....
    Son: And they do.
Me: Uh...no. Go get a popsicle.
Son: Guys, we get a treat. (He says to his brother and sissy)

**I think he's confused, because our kitten, who we thought was a male, is pregnant and thus we realized she's female. And he keeps calling her, a him. Who knew a mistake with kittens could lead to gender questioning. Ugh!

Since this conversation with Son, he's asked several more times and so I've explained in kid terms that boys and girls are different and that's all he needs to know. Yikes!

  5. That's too cute! I'm always asking my husband at what age do we have to actually start telling our 3-year-old the truth instead of just saying that the sun went to sleep or the cookies are mysteriously all gone. Kids!

(Thanks for joining us for Friendly Friday again!)

  6. HA I love this! I have similar conversations like this all the time with my 3 and 5 year old siblings. Usually they ask things like where does the sun go, and how does it come back, and my favorite is how can the sun and moon be out at the same time. Love it.
