Nicole's ABCs

If you've been a follower for awhile, you know how much I like doing these ABC type of things. I got this from Jacqui over at Wacky Jacqui's Designs. (Yup, the designer who designed the beautiful blog that you're looking at right now). I haven't done one in awhile so here we go...

A. Age: 31

B. Bed size: queen. though we really need a king.

C. Chore you dislike: it would be a tie between washing dishes and doing/putting away laundry. I have been known to go out and buy underwear because its been weeks since I've done laundry. The longest I've probably gone is 3 weeks.

D. Dogs: 1 named Diesel who will be celebrating his 5th birthday this coming November.

E. Essential start to your day: Words with friends :)

F. Favorite color: Black. Everything I own is black, shoes, pants, purses...everything

G. Gold or silver: I like gold. It goes well with my tan :)

H. Height: I'm a little itty bitty one...4'7"

I. Instruments you play(ed): I played the ukulele as a kid and played piano for a couple years in elementary school.

J. Junk food: mmmmm ANYTHING sweet :) But my ultimate would either be a caramel frap from Starbucks or a caramel frappe from McDonald's

K. Kids: 4 boys...Skinny (15), Milkshake (13), Juju (5), BamBam (3)

L. Live: I guess this is supposed to be where do I live. AUSTIN TEXAS BABY!

M. Mom's name: Lynn (yup just gave it away LOL)

N. Nicknames: All through school (K-12) I was called Baby.

O. Overnight hospital stays: Several...when I had my boys.

P. Pet peeves: when people chew with their mouths open like they are f$%#@in cows grazing!! Yes, its that bad.

T. Time you wake up: On most days 6:15am. On days that I get to "sleep in" which is mostly the weekends then I wake up around 8-8:30am.

V. Vegetables you don't like: Ugh cauliflower. BLAH!

W. What makes you run late: Brushing my teeth. I will be dressed and ready to go, walking out the door and then its like oh shit! I forgot to brush my teeth. Then I go back in and do that and realize oh shit I forgot to put on deodorant. And then I gotta remember where I put my keys down when I remembered I didn't brush my teeth and then next thing you know its been like 10 min.

X. X-rays you've had: Head, neck, back, both shoulders, both knees, both ankles, stomach. (I was a cheerleader for 12+ years)

Y. Yummy food you make: Stuffed shells!!!

COLOR of you hair.

Right now its brown with blond pieces like in some spots lol. See what had happened was, I did LOTS of blonde highlights throughout my hair like 2 years ago, then went jet black last year. Well the black all washed out and now I'm back to my brown hair, but there's random blond pieces everywhere.

CASH or CHARGE?
Debit lol. I use my Visa debit card all the time because we do that keep the change program :) I rarely carry cash.

Favorite CHIPS.
Ummm...I used to LOVE Cheetoh puffs. Oh and funyuns. Well I guess I do still like them.

COCKY or CONFIDENT?
I'd like to think that in my small stature, I am pretty confident. But catch me after I just got done working out...whoa baby I am just a tiny bit cocky.

CLOTHING style.

I worked in retail for the majority of my "working" career lol. So sadly I use to be such a slave to trends. These past couple years, I have been a jeans and rocker t-shirt kind of girl. In fact I LOVE the rocker look. These days I find myself wanting to wear dresses again. Sucks that its cold out. But then again, I do have a new found love for patterned tights. Oh and I never leave the house without a pair of heels on. ALWAYS at least 3 inches.

What's good y'all? Its FRIDAY! I don't know bout the rest of y'all but I am sure glad its FRIDAY! Ok no more yelling Friday lol. So, to carry on my tradition, let's get it started shall we?

     

How long have you been BLOGGING: So I'm totally cheating here because I have NO idea. I'll be right back...Ok so my first post was 11/09/08. WOW. So this November I would have been blogging for 2 years! I think I will have a celebration with guest posts and CAKE!

When was your BIG day: September 25, 2005. And had our traditional Hawaiian ceremony October 15, 2006. Great stories too: we were originally supposed to get married on September 24th, but that damn hurricane Rita decided to come and nixed the whole damn thing. I was completely devastated and cried myself to sleep wondering why something so bad had to happen. I woke up the next morning to a clear sky and birds chirping. 8am the justice of the peace called and said she would love to marry us that night and at 8pm in front of some wonderful friends we were married. Since our family was not present, we decided to do a traditional ceremony for them back home in Hawaii. The morning of the wedding we woke up to the house shaking. Big Daddy was like what in the hell was that. Still sleepy I was like, oh probably a helicopter just flying too low. (My house in Hawaii was right below the helicopter landing pad at Tripler Hospital). Anyways, it turned out to be a 6.7 magnitude earthquake that shook all the islands. Power was out and everything! But we were only in Hawaii for the wedding so the show went on. No power meant traffic lights were out, roads were closed, and no A.C. But the show went on. They moved the wedding from a ballroom to like a covered patio area where they do large scale meetings. Since there was no power, we had no hot food. They offered us all the cold food that they had in the fridges: crab legs, shrimp, salads, sandwichs...etc. A lot of the guests did not make it due to road closures and the airport being shut down. But it was amazing!

What is your BIGGEST fear: Not to sound too morbid or anything but dying before Xavier graduates from high school.

What size BED do you have: A queen. I am a tiny little woman and Big Daddy is always saying we need a bigger bed lol. Ya I like to roll EVERYWHERE!

Have you ever eaten a BUG: LMAO! I can say I have, and yes on my free will too. Last week friday we got some bacon and cheese flavored crickets for my brother-in-law...well we were gonna make him. Anyways, he was a wuss...spitting everywhere, guzzling down juice. Well...Big Daddy and I had a couple drinks and was like hey, let's eat one too. I mean why the hell not right? It tasted like the shell of a sunflower seed. Salty. Nothing like bacon and cheese. So there. Never again.

What do you like on your BURGER: Cheese, mayo, bbq sauce, onion rings, and maybe some mushrooms too.

BLOGGER or wordpress: Blogger obviously. Have thought about making the switch, but just not sure yet.

BOYS or girls: Well DUH! LOL. I LOVE boys! Love them so much I got married to one, birthed 4 of em, and own 2 male dogs too. :)

ABCs of ME (7/9/10)

So...I'm doing it different...again :)
Every Friday I am going to feature one letter. So 26 weeks of ME! I mean this whole blog is about me, but you know what I mean. So, of course, A:

AGE: :) Dirty 30 baby!!! Yup I am totally ok with it now.

What is the longest AIRPLANE ride that you've ever taken: It would have to be from Hawaii to England. Of course it wasn't a direct flight. It was like 20 hours, including layovers. Longest without layovers-->New York to England, I think it was like 15 hours.

Are you ALLERGIC to anything: Crazy enough I am allergic to apple flavoring or something like that. I can eat an apple just fine but like applesauce or apple juice, oh hell no! My throat gets all itchy and then I start to lose my breath. When I was younger, I had to be rushed to the E.R. because I couldn't breathe.

Do you have an ALIAS: Totally wish I had a cool name like 007 or something but no. From when I was in like elementary school, everyone called me BABY. I was, and still am, very petite. I look like I'm like 18, but am 30, which is SUCH a blessing :). I always hung out with people who were older than me too.

Mouthwash - before or AFTER: So most of you know my on-going debate about mouthwash. For my new followers/readers here's the deal..short and simple...do you use mouthwash before brushing your teeth or after? Me? AFTER. Won't get into it here, so check out the post. :)

Best ADVICE you've received this week: At least 10 minutes a day will keep the fat away. (10 minutes of cardio that is :)

Roughly, how many days were you ABSENT in high school: Ummm, does ditching count as being IN school, because you know, technically, I wasn't absent. I showed up, just didn't stay lol. So I would say like maybe 45 days in 4 years. But wait! I had Skinny my junior year so add 3 months to that. Total: 135 days.

Who do you ADMIRE the most (in real life): I would have to say my 2nd oldest Milkshake. A couple months before his 3rd birthday is when he was hospitalized and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He will be 12 this November. Can you imagine, being a kid and being told that you can't have your own birthday cake? Or having your fingers pricked numerous times throughout the day and getting shots in your arms and legs EVERY SINGLE DAY?! He is my world and my life. He has taught me patience and understanding. Strength most of all.

Whats the one thing you ALWAYS do before going to bed: Wash my face!

Have you ever ridden in an AMBULANCE: Yes I have. Not a very good story behind it though. I came out of the experience with what they called slight amnesia. I think it lasted almost 3 months.

So I'm starting my own thing. What is this thing u ask? Duh, whats the title of this post? Just kidding :)
So again, hey to all my peeps and new peeps...(in my UFC ref voice) LET'S GET IT ON!!!

A: Most favorite summer ACTIVITY: BBQs! Really anything that allows me to be outside all the time. Have I mentioned I LOVE THE SUN?! No? Well I LOVE THE SUN! :) lol

B: What did you eat for BREAKFAST this morning: Caramel frappe

C: I like my COFFEE: Black with a spoonful of sugar.

D: Last time you went to the DENTIST: Probably when I was in high school. In fact...it was a week after I graduated from high, when I got my wisdom teeth pulled out. HA!

E: Have you ever ridden on an ELEPHANT: Why, yes I have lol. And not like when I was a kid or anything. The circus was in town one year when I was still in college. I was a little tipsy and was dared to ride it. So I did.

F: FAKE or real: Aahhh, real. But next year, fake! Then I can really say, everything's bigger in Texas ;)

G: GPA when you GRADUATED high school: 3.4 I was a smart cheerleader :)

H: Right HANDED or left: I, like the majority, am right handed. But I can color with my left hand. But its not like I get to show off that talent anymore.

I: Favorite flavor of ICE CREAM: CHOCOLATE!!! Or rocky road. Or chocolate chip cookie dough.

J: Piece of JEWELRY you always have on: My wedding ring of course. And my great-grandmother's diamond earrings that I just got for my 30th birthday.

K: Hot dog-->KETCHUP or mustard: Are you kidding me? Ketchup is for burgers and fries. Mustard on mine please. With relish.

L: How old were you when you got your drivers LICENSE: Got my permit when I was 15 and the very next week, I got my license.

M: What MOVIE can you watch over and over: Serendipity or Fools Rush In. I like romantic comedies.

N: NEVER leave home without: My blackberry or wallet. And Bo---Stanky's stuffed beagle that he takes EVERYWHERE. Me? can't live without my BB, him? can't live without that damn dog LOL

P: What do you like on your PIZZA: Pepperoni and mushrooms. ALWAYS.

R: Last time you danced in the RAIN: It was actually tonight. We had just got home from Big Daddy's rugby practice, and I was getting Stanky out of the car. He started shaking his booty, so I shook mine. LOL.

S: Public SCHOOL or private: LMAO!!! Private. All 13 years.

T: What TIME do you eat lunch: Its been varying the past couple of weeks. We're in the middle of transitioning about 200 parks over to new equipment, so I can barely even get a chance to breathe sometimes. I usually try and take my lunch around 1pm or 2pm.

U: Have you ever had to wear a UNIFORM: YES! I went to private school from kindergarten until I graduated from high school. I also used to manage a pretzel place and had to wear a uniform. Oh and I was a cheerleader so ya that too.

V: Where would your dream VACATION be: Italy. Better yet...Egypt. I love love love everything egyptian.

W: Last letter you WROTE: Was to Big Daddy...It was for this past Valentine's day.

X: Last time you had an X-RAY: I think it was my 3rd year of college. I was working out with a couple guys from the cheerleading squad, you know going through stunts. Well I am a tiny person so when I get tossed in the air, I tend to "float." We were practicing just a simple basket toss, and I floated to the right some. I was caught--sorta, but still jammed my wrist into the ground "pretty gnarly.'' (HAHA thats what the DOCTOR told me).

Y: Any YOUNGER siblings: Yup. 2 sisters..Trisha and Shauna Alexis.

Z: ZEBRAS-->Black with white stripes or white with black stripes: Ummm whatever. I say black with white stripes because black is my favorite color.
