Look-->A REAL POST

So sue me for being a slacker these past couple weeks or so. Anyways...so whats the occassion for this special "real" post you ask? Nothing really. I'm having a pretty relaxing morning so far, not even a tired bug in sight! So how about a quick update? NO? Well too bad....

Next week I go back to a normal schedule (8:00-5:00). If you work or know someone that works in a call center, then this could be both a good and bad thing. I've been meaning to post about my job...so...i'll just leave it at that, and you can look forward to a post later.

Had the day off yesterday to catch up with cleaning and me time. Did some laundry, cleaned my bathroom, organized the little ones' bedroom, got my nails done, and even did a little window shopping. Big daddy even ordered me a mini laptop yesterday! YAY!!!!!!! Hopefully I'll actually receive it in 3-5 days like they say. So now all I need is a new cel phone!

Speaking of big daddy, we're getting him a new, used car tomorrow. He's really excited! He has a 1993 red jimmy, but the steering column broke so now it just sits in our driveway...at a very awkward angle if you ask me. See?

So where was I? Oh ya (had to scroll up lol)...so he's getting a new car. Well SUV. Its an older Isuzu Amigo, manual. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow when we go and pick it up.

I've ben thinking about getting back to my creative side, so to start, I'm making an alphabet book for juju. It's still in its bare stage...got almost everything I need, just need to print out a bunch of pictures for it. I plan on getting this completed by next sunday. So look for my post on it then. 

I started my supplements yesterday! Woohoo! Just the kick I've been needing! Big daddy are doing it together. I forgot to take my before picture yesterday...oh well...I guess in 90 days you'll just get to see the after picture.

So long for now. I'm off to Walmart to print some pictures, then off to maybe Hobby Lobby for more cardstock. Oh and then, heading over to Target to check out Peek. Whats Peek you ask? Well if you don't know you can cheat and google it, but if you can wait...I'll hopefully show you later. And then later I'm picking up juju's new bed! First off to shower. Still kinda stinky from my workout this morning! 

Flashback Friday: A walk down memory (picture) lane

Well its the last friday of the month...LOVE. I wanted to go out with a bang! Haha...whatever! LMAO! Naw but seriously...I wanted a GREAT PICTURE. 

So this is Juju and his "best bud" booga man. Booga man was born a month before juju. This picture was taken 8 days after juju was born. I can't believe how little they both were. Well how little juju was.

Here they are when juju was 2 months old. Haha..I just realized he was wearing the same outfit in their first picture together. Can you tell he liked to eat?!

This was taken the day after booga man's first birthday. Look at my juju's curly hair. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Oh how I miss those curls!

This was taken March of last year...goof ball!

And now here they are (Jan 2009). Too busy now to even have just one of them looking at the camera.

My how time flies! In the blink of an eye, they go from these whinny little things, to these little people.

Dryer sheets, octomom, roses, puppies...oh my!

Welcome, again, to my rendition of Thursday Thunks! You know how much I love this, and you will too.

1. What kind of dryer sheets do you use?
I actually don't use any. In my honest opinion, I really don't think they're really necessary. Well maybe just for the static cling part. But I think they SMELL too much. Does that make sense? Anyways...too much smelly for me.

2. How many times a week do you eat out/order in?
Ok...as a family...once and on a rare occasion, twice a week. Now me alone...maybe 3 times a week. Y'all know I work a crazy shift, so when lunch time comes around I want to treat myself and get the hell out of my building!

3. What did you do the night of your high school graduation?
While the rest of my graduating class participated in project graduation (drug free, alcohol free, school sponsored event) I was having dinner with my fam bam at this incredible seafood reestaurant. I was pretty much the "rebel" of my grad class. And anyways, why spend MY night with a bunch of people when I could be spending it with my then 1 and a half year old. He was a lot more fun!

4. So Octomom is rumored to have been offered a million bucks to do a porno. Would you do it for a million? I'll entertain y'all and think about it a second...sorry blog peeps...that would be a no-go for me. But seriously, I'm SICK of octomom. There are more important issues going on right now like, when the hell are we getting our stimulus checks this year? LOL! But seriously...this women needs to seriously just go away! How did we get caught up in her web of media attention...Hey lady...GO AWAY!

5. If your child was born with an extra finger or toe, would you have it surgically removed?
Hmmmmm...how did this serious question get in here?! Well, lets see..there are 2 ways I could go with this..one way being the complete moron...which I think is the way to go..now no seriousness here..my answer is strictly just for entertainment purposes only--> No I would not have it surgically removed. I mean if octomom is semi famous for her miracle birth, then I would become famous for my child's oddity. If its ok for octomom to be selfish, then I can be selfish too...So send me money america: my child has an extra finger AND an extra toe. I'd have my very own circus sideshow! 

6. What was the last movie you saw?
Now y'all will probably laugh, but the last movie I saw in theaters was I Am Legend. And then I saw Wanted for the first time last week. Hey wait...does movie time Monday on Disney channel count? Cuz if it does then it was monday!

7. I wanna buy you a dozen roses, what color should they be?
Awww thanks! this is what I want...

8. You are walking across the street, you are not quite half way when a speeding car comes... you have to run to get out of its way, whichdirection do you run?

Duh forward...why the hell would someone turn the F*#K around? But hey why is this idiot speeding? Forget that, ima stand still...pedestrians have the right of way A$$HOLE!!!

9. Tell us about a time when you were invited over somewhere and had the most awful time.

Never!!! I'm the life of the party!

10. You open your front door and there is abox with a puppy in it... what do you do?

Slam the door! Just kidding...I would first get rid of the box and then bring him in. When big daddy got home, I would just say that he followed me home from my run earlier that day. Haha..wouldn't that be sweet if he bought it?!

Black & White

Week 7 of the I heart faces contest was especially hard for me. Black and white...I've never had any experience taking black and white photographs. So I've been practicing...all week in fact. Until the very last second. It just dawned on me that I only have about a half hour left to submit my entry. So here it is...(don't be too harsh please...LOL)

So this is skinny, the young man that made me a mommy. I can't believe how much he's grown. He's changed sooooo much!

So here are the rules: (yes rules, but play anyway its fun!)

Easy enough right?! Ok so here's what I got...

This was taken (according to the stats of the picture) on August 22, 2007. Wow 2 yrs ago. So from left to right we have skinny (who HATES smiling in pictures), juju (who, at this age, smiled at EVERYTHING), and milkshake (who, like his big bro, thinks its cool to 'look hard/tough'). So I can't really remember what inspired this picture, so i'll just babble for a minute. Juju had just turned one the month before. And you can't really see it, but he had this head full of curls. I miss those curls. They were unruly and just all over the place, just like he was. And at that time, that was his FAVORITE sippy cup. No matter what kind of liquid it was, he would only take it from that cup. Um, what else...YES...those are earrings in their ears. Juju actually has earrings in both of his ears, and skinny and milkshake just have one each in their left ears. Thats a wrestling action figure thing in between juju's legs. Who it actually belongs to? I totally forget. Poor thing. We still have that darn thing, except he's been broken in half. And I think he may even be missing an arm. Its not very often that I can get them to sit still long enough to get a decent picture. Especially now that tank  is here and just wants to crawl away somewhere else. I look at this picture now and think, wow, things were so much simpler. (tear) But I wouldn't change it all, even if I was offered all the money in the entire world.

Christmas eve 2006! Big daddy is so handsome isnt he?! LOL...He looks so much younger in this picture. (Currently, his head is still bald, but he's rockin some facial hair...mustache and goatee)

This was taken this time last year...and I still had 2 more months to go! I'm a little girl, and when this picture was taken I had already gained just about 30 lbs. And with 2 more months to go, you can imagine what I looked like. My hair is also still long and dark in this picture. (Currently my hair is right above my shoulders and highlighted)

Grilling Goodness #19

ITS FRIDAY, ITS FRIDAY!!!! And whadaya know...I got today OFF! So here's to Tina...thanks for not being a slacker...LOL! So let's get this meme started.....

1. What is your favorite family activity?
Going to the duck pond out here, that is when we're all home at the same time...we LOVE going shopping! Yes, thats right, me and my 5 men...isn't that crazy?!

2. Do you know how to play poker?
I actually do. But I never play with the hubs. He's so damn competitive over everything, even with me. Ugghhh...anyways...yes I do play poker. Don't do 'poker nights' or anything. I have won a little in Vegas and at a couple of the casinos here.

3. Have you ever been to a chiropractor? Regularly?
I have been to a chiropractor. But only like once. Awhile back when I was still cheering.

4. Have you ever slopped pigs or milked cows?
Can't say that I have. I don't think I wanna be THAT close to the 2 things I eat weekly. LOL

5. How are you doing with the goals you made for the New Year?
Good! Considering I really didn't make any goals...I know I'm a loser, and have no DRIVE. I have been spending more time with the hubs though. 

6. Is there something you dread doing every day?
Thats easy...its actually 2 things that run with each other...dropping the little ones off at daycare to go to work. Oh how I wish times were at least livable again on 1 income. So hey, thats gonna be my goal for this year. Find a way to stay home and bring in some income...haha...isn't that every working moms dream?!

7. What room in your home would you most like to buy new furniture for?
MY BEDROOM! We so need a new bed!

8. If I had a dollar for every _______________, I'd be able to ______________.

(not a question, I know, but it's my game!)

So its Thursday! I love meme days..never have to thunk bout what to blog! And this meme, well, its all over the place! Its do damn random I LOVE IT!!!

1. What brand & flavor of toothpaste do you use?

Crest Pro-Health and I think its just the regular mint flavor. 

2. What is your earliest memory?

I think I was about 4...I was at my mom's friend's house I think...anyways, I was wearing some heels with my blanket tied around my body..you know like when you get outta the shower...well I was singing at the top of my lungs, when one of mom's friends spilled some water from the cup he was drinking. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a dish towel and ran to clean up the spill. While I was wiping it up, I was saying "Its ok honey, I got it. Everybody has assidents." Its weird how its still so vivid in my mind! I can describe the kitchen in almost complete detail along with what color the tiles were in the kitchen and dining area.

3. Hot Dogs or Hamburgers?

TOUGH! I have to say hamburgers...with cheese please! LOL! I was watching that show how its made on the discovery channel, and that has kinda made me stay clear of hot dogs. When you see how its made, it kinda kills it for you. For those of you that like hot dogs...well...don't watch it!

4. If you could bring any one famous person back to life, who would it be?

BOB MARLEY! I mean seriously! That man was fantastic! Plus his views on racism and equality...he was half black, half white. His music is so inspiring! STOP THE HATRED!

5. What is one thing we would always find in your fridge... what one thing would we never find?

You will always find whole milk and water...Juju is a milk freak, and well the rest of us are water freaks!

You will never find...hmmm...we like a lot of different stuff...clothes?...but seriously, soda, pop, whatever you wanna call it..oh ya, and one of those arm and hammer box things...obviously because at this very moment my fridge smells like onions! Big daddy is marinating some ribs in his special marinade. Now the pan is covered with saran wrap but obviously not good enough.

6. Did you have to go and look for the answerof #1?

Haha I just brushed my teeth...I know its like 10 something in the morning. Don't judge me!

7. What don't watermelons grow on trees?

Think this was supposed to ask WHY...soooo...because, duh, when was the last time you picked up a watermelon?!

8. What is something that you own that you should probably just throw in the trash, but you never will?

If you ask the hubs, he'll say everything! But you're not asking him...so lets see..there are these black heels I wore to prom when I was a sophmore..a couple halter tops from my pre-children days..this could go on and on..i'm kind of a pack-rat, so we'll just stop there. Hey I think I'll do a new post about it.

9. I push you into a room and lock the door. I leave you there for 6 hours. The walls are chalkboards and in the middle of the room there is a box of colored chalk. What will be written/drawn on the walls when I let you out?

A coconut tree, on and island in the middle of the ocean, with a setting sun..maybe some birds..I always draw that..thats all I know how to draw..and some flowers..and hopscotch..and then I'd write my name over and over a couple times..then i'd write the boys' hawaiian names a couple times.

10. When was the last time you changed the oil on your car?

Don't know..the hubs does though when it needs to be changed.

11. In your extended family, who has been married the longest?

Are my grandparents considered regular family or extended family? anyways my grandparents.

12. Name one thing that is so normal to you now that someone who was your age 50 years ago would think was abnormal.

Surfing...the internet!

13. Have you ever wanted someone or something so bad that it hurt?

Ya, its kinda weird. I really wanted to get this store manger position at this "well known" retail store. The application process shoulda been simple except for the fact that there were 4 of us in the running, and I had the least experience. The other 3 had managed their own stores for over 5 years. And me, I was just a lowly assistant manager who had almost 2 years in the same place under my belt. I shoulda considered myself honored that they even considered me. They knew I had the drive, and I did. In the end, they chose some red-head who didn't even last 2 months. I was heart-broken. I felt like a failure, my body ached like I had the flu, and then got hit by a bus. 

14. What do you dip your french fries in?

Most of the time nothing, but every now and then ketchup.

15. What was the last picture that you took?

Isn't he a cutie pie! He was trying to climb up the stool to get to the sink.

Just a random post about nothing

So I've been working this mid shift at work (4pm to 1am), and haven't really had a chance to just sit down and blog. I've just been super exhausted. So what else have I been up to besides sleeping through day-time tv? Well saturday, valentine's day, I was off from work. So big daddy and I took the kids out. We went to one of the malls out here and just walked around, window shopping, and just enjoying each other's company. Big daddy and I have never really done anything for v-day. We exchange cards and stuff, have dinner, and just are with each other...no big deal. He doesn't believe in buying into all the hype...WHATEVER! I love that he's the rebellious, independent type....but this year for the first time, I was really hoping for something. More than a card. Oh well. He loves me, and I love him, and with our conflicting work schedules (him 7-4, me 4-1), I'm just happy about the TIME I got with him that day. And besides, he always out does himself on my birthday every year!

Had yesterday off. And so did big daddy! (wink, wink) Took the little ones to daycare, and the rest...well...I was exhausted...but not from working till 1 yesterday morning! Had a GREAT start to our day of running around doing errands. Stopped by Sylvan to talk with them about their program and setting up a date/time for skinny to take his assessment. He's 12, going through his changes, and just having a hard time with math and english. Hopefully, he'll gain the confidence to know and do better in school. More on that later. I got my hair cut too. Short. Now it sits right on top of my shoulders. So whats the big deal you ask? Well I've always had long hair. ALWAYS. LONG. Down to my booty! Then when juju was born, I cut it to between like my bra strap and waist. Which is how I've kept it. In December I cut it to between the top of my shoulder and my bra strap. And now...its officially short! And I love it! I'll have someone take a picture of me and my new 'do later.

Well blogsters, hate to do it, but I gotsta go! Gotta stop by walmart and pick up some turkey sandwich meat for big daddy's lunch for the rest of the week, and get juju another "out" cup. Out cup is a sippy cup that he uses when we're going places. Like in the car. Sometimes he takes it to daycare when he's lazy. Haha. So later blogsters! Have a great rest of the day!

Wonder

So the theme for week 6 is wonder. WONDER. I "wondered" about what to post since sunday. I mean, did I want to show a face of awe. Or did I want to show a face of "I wonder what he's thinking?" Well this is what juju and I have decided on for the kids entry..

Juju was about 10 months old in this picture. We were at a friends pool, and he really wasn't liking how cold the pool was.

Grilling Goodness #18

"Its Aloha Friday...no work till monday..." (My fave song to hear on fridays when I was still living in Hawaii)

Well alright peeps, its friday...so you know what that means...time to get the coals ready for some Grilling Goodness!

1. How long has your longest friendship been?

Lets's see...we met when we were in the second grade. I was like 7 I think. So almost 22 years. WOW! Never really thought about it, but damn thats a long time huh?

2. What made you happy this week?

PAYDAY!!!!!!

3. Are you planning any kind of event right now?

Actually yes. Tank's first birthday. Its not until April, but wow...still so much to do. Its like tradition in my family to have a really big first birthday. We do a big luau and everything. Don't think we'll do a "luau" but we will be doing something on grand scale like that.

4. Do you wear your wedding ring? What is it made of?

Of course...but then I take it off to take a shower...and then sometimes I forget to put it back on...and then here comes big daddy, holding the ring, saying "hey you left this on the counter. Be careful it might fall in the sink." (Mind you, whenever I do take it off, I put it INSIDE my jewelry box...which of course is on the counter, near the sink, but obviously would not fall IN the sink. Don't know how it would jump outta my jewelry box and into the sink, but whatever...he's right, right? :)~) Oh ya...both my rings are yellow gold..one is just my plain band and the other is a hawaiian ring with big daddy's name on it. (thats the one I wear most often)

5. Do you shave your legs in the winter?

Oh I'm so bad about this! I say whats the point. I mean your legs are covered 90% of the time anyways, right? I mean your in this nice hot shower or bath shaving your legs for big daddy for later (wink*wink), but then you turn off the water, get out and BAM...cold air...instant goosebumps...and there they go....boop, boop, boop, boop, boop...tiny little hairs popping up cuz now you got goosebumps. Then big daddy tells you later, hey I thought you shaved. (Ya I shaved you jerk) 

6. What time do your kids go to bed?

All I can say is I wish it were earlier. Tank goes down around 7:30-8:00. Now cheerio and milkshake (my 12 and 10 yr olds) don't have a bed time until 9:00-9:30. Sooooo...juju thinks he can stay up till then too. My fault totally. At one point I was like hey, the later he sleeps the later he wakes up in the morning. Which actually happened. But now that I'm back to work full time during the day, I need him to wak up earlier so I can get him ready for daycare. He goes to bed around 8:30-9:00 now, but every now and then he'll stay up until about 9:30. Once he sees his bigger bros going to bed, he wants to go to bed.

7. Right this minute, is your laundry caught up?

OMG...YES!! For the first time in 3 weeks! And I think this time I might actually be able to stay on top of it.

8. Do you want flowers for Valentine's Day?

NAW...they just die anyways. FEED ME! Y'all would be amazed at how much my little body can eat!

Thursday Thunks

So I found another super fun meme! This meme is absolutely fantastic for me because, more often than not, I have no idea what to blog about. In comes Thursday Thunks.

So the rules: They pick a subject, and it is up to me (us) to interpret it however we choose!

So here goes nothing!

Puddles, Google, College, Sugar Highs and whatnot.

1. You are driving down the road and there is a puddle in the road. A big puddle. Not one that will really wreck your car or anything, but a big puddle. There is no other cars in front of you or behind you - do you drive through the puddle or drive around it?
Ooh I would definitely drive through it! Fast if possible! And then let big daddy clean the truck when I get home.
2. Go to Google Images, type in any word that comes to mind and post the 1st picture you see.

Venus. There was a commercial on tv for the venus shaver, but this is what google gave me. 

3. A college calls you up and says that you have been selected to take get any degree that you want on their dollar.... what do you choose?PRE-MED BABY!!!
4. Are you blogging on a laptop or desktop?

Desktop. My poor laptop needs to visit the doctor.

5. Which store, excluding a grocery store, do you shop at most often?

Duh Walmart and Target! Bu not I like Ross. We get everything from Ross!

6. My daughters tried out for the school musical last night. Were you ever in a school play/musical? Which one?

A few actually. My favorite was the sound of music...seriously.

7. I read yesterday that a school PTA group wants to try to banwhite bread, cakes, brownies or any other "treat" from their lunch menus... plus make kids' lunchboxes brought from home not include any "junk food". Thoughts on that one?

WHAT THE F*$K?! Whatever. We should decide what we want and don't want our kids to eat in school.

8. How many people can yourkitchen table seat?

Six. I would definitely like a table that seats 8 though, because when family comes, we have no room.

9. What time is it right now?

1:00pm...I go to work at 4pm to 1am...I really should be asleep, but just can't keep my eyes closed.

10. Walk out the front door of your house/apartment, turn right, walk 2 blocks. What do you see?
